<h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></span></h1>During a time of continued growth, here at Dowty, a GE Aerospace company, we have an exciting opportunity for Controls Systems Engineer to join our onsite team near Gloucester on a permanent basis. <br>Working within a multi-disciplined team of engineers at Dowty Propellers reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support the business in meeting customer requirements, quality, timescale and cost. You'll have the opportunity to work on an exciting array of projects, that will include new applications and in-service product support.<p></p><p></p><h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p></p><div><div><div><div><p><b><span>Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Define requirement for propeller control systems within industry standard systems engineering (ARP4754) and safety engineering (ARP4761) frameworks</p></li><li><p>Propose cost-effective solutions for control systems</p></li><li><p>Analyse control system performance in simulation environments that integrate propeller, engine and airframe elements</p></li><li><p>Create requirements for controls units for subcontract design and manufacture</p></li><li><p>Develop high quality technical relationships with customers and suppliers</p></li><li><p>Lead technical activities with integrated project teams, and lead small teams of junior engineers</p></li><li><p>Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people, supporting moderate complexity projects and/or tasks</p></li><li><p>Component or Sub-assembly level analysis or hardware <span><span><span>ownership </span></span></span></p></li><li><p>Responsible for project planning activities, including work tasks, project scope, schedule and budget</p></li><li><p>Proactively anticipates events that impact customer deliverables and manage them</p></li><li><p>Proactively identifies and helps others recognize lessons learned</p></li><li>
