Growing together. Optum are hiring an Integration Engineer for EPIC. Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model

Primary Responsibilities: Capture, document, and translate business and user requirements into technical specifications Design, build, and support HL7, FHIR, API, and file based integrations between Electronic Health Records, ERP platforms, and external systems Develop and maintain interfaces using integration engines such as Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, and InterSystems Ensemble/IRIS Configure message routing, transformations, filtering, and connectivity Create and maintain interface specifications, mapping documents, and workflows Conduct unit, integration, and end to end testing to validate data accuracy Monitor interface queues and transaction logs and troubleshoot integration issues Support integrations with HIEs, cloud platforms, SaaS applications, vendors, and registries Design and implement integrations between ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Infor) and downstream systems Configure secure transport protocols (VPN, TLS, SFTP) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and security standards Collaborate with analysts, clinical users, and cross functional teams Document technical conf
