Job Group Capability Engineering Job Group Equipment Technology & Infrastructure Job Role Description An Advanced Marine Engineer supporting deepwater assets is responsible for the design, analysis, and lifecycle support of floating offshore structures and associated marine systems. This includes ensuring the structural integrity and operational reliability of floating production units (FPUs), tension leg platforms (TLPs), and other deepwater facilities. A key focus is on mooring systems, where the engineer evaluates performance under dynamic environmental conditions, supports installation and inspection campaigns, and ensures compliance with industry codes and regulatory standards
The role also involves hydrodynamic analysis, fatigue assessments, and integration of marine systems with topside operations This position requires a strong foundation in naval architecture, marine engineering, and offshore operations, along with experience in advanced modeling tools and real-time monitoring systems. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues, optimize asset performance, and implement innovative solutions that enhance safety and efficiency. Offshore travel may be required to support inspections, commissioning, or incident investigations
