Legal Counsel, Integrated Shared Services Bulgaria

About this role

A broad legal role requiring excellent qualities to deliver key objectives which include providing the business with strong practical business and legal counsel and be a key contributor to delivering the company’s key activities. Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) involvement in some or all of the following activities: Advising on a broad range of legal issues arising from day-to-day operational matters, activity and business needs in Bulgaria, for both Sofia and Varna offices, covering a variety of legal disciplines. These will include contracts; commercial law; employment law; regulatory & compliance and development of local policies, including in key areas such as Data Protection, AML, Whistleblowing, Anti-Bribery, etc.; corporate governance; technology; insurance

Delivering trainings on various legal topics to stakeholders. Providing support on additional matters as required. Providing solution-focused, commercial and creative legal advice to all parts of the organisation in view of reaching the business objectives

Partnering with local business leads. Experience preferred Еxperience in Bulgarian legal matters, preferably as in-house in multi-national companies and/or at reputable law firms. Wider legal understanding in respect of employment, contracts, commercial, corporate, regulatory and compliance, data protection, property, technology and insurance

Fluency in written and spoken Bulgarian and English. Master’s degree in Bulgarian Law, qualified to practice in Bulgaria Personal traits: High degree of business acumen and curiosity. Ability to manage a diverse workload

Strong and proven ability to exercise creative thinking and to define new and business pragmatic approaches to problems. Excellent oral and written communication in both Bulgarian and English language, people skills, particularly in relation to senior management of a global company. Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work in a team
